Every server, “Russian sites direct”, runs from the tray and updates itself.

Questions
Is it safe?
Yes. The file comes from the official Vum VPN releases on GitHub. The SmartScreen warning is because the installer has no publisher signature yet, not because of what is inside.
Why administrator rights?
To create the VPN adapter and route traffic through it. Without them Windows does not let the app bring up the tunnel.
How do I update the app?
The app offers the new version and installs it itself. To check manually: Settings → Version. Keys and settings are kept.
What is the portable version?
The same program in an archive: unpack it and run vum_vpn.exe. Links from the console (“Add to Vum VPN”) open only the installed version.
Which Windows versions are supported?
Windows 10 and 11, 64-bit. The app does not run on Windows 7, 8 or 32-bit systems.
